ü      The Board of Education shoe policy is as follows:  Shoes must be fully enclosed.  No open-toed shoes, clogs, sling backs, flip-flops, slides or sandals will be allowed. No “heelies” will be allowed.

Please see Page 21 in the School Handbook that explains our dress code policy.

Please read the New Attendance Policy in the School Handbook, Page 10.

Students who bring cell phones may NOT use them or have them turned on during the school day hours of 8:00 A.M.-3:00P.M.

DRESS CODE POLICY ADDITION

At the May 8th Board of Education meeting, it was decided that for the safety of the children at Our Redeemer Lutheran School, Heelies (tennis shoes with wheels on the bottom) would not be permitted the remainder of this school year and in future years. The Board of Trustees has also found that these shoes make marks on the floors and asked that these shoes not be worn. The School Handbook will be updated to reflect this policy. We hope this will help you when purchasing shoes for your child for next school year.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Students who do not ride the buses daily should not arrive at school before 7:55AM and they  are expected to leave as soon as possible after school dismissal no later than 3:25PM.  If  students arrive before 7:55AM or stay after 3:25PM, the family will be requested to put the child in Our Redeemer Child Care. If parents feel that an exception should be made for their child, the matter should be discussed with the Principal.

We would like all parents to please make sure that they are out of the classrooms and halls by 8:15AM so teachers can prepare their class for the beginning of school.
