The Wisconsin Parental Choice Program

The Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) is a TUITION-FREE option for parents who want to send their children to a private school but feel that the cost of tuition would be difficult to manage.

The WPCP is government-sponsored and pays the tuition for families that qualify based on income and residency requirements; it will pay for PK4 and Kindergarten (as well as 1st-8th grade), but not for PK3.

Our Redeemer Lutheran School will be participating in the WPCP for the 26-27 school year, and there will be open application periods throughout the year as shown below.

February 2, 2026 - February 20, 2026

March 1, 2026 - March 20, 2026

In order to enter the WPCP at Our Redeemer for the 2026-2027 school year, a student must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be a current participant in the WPCP at Our Redeemer for the current 25-26 school year who is re-applying for the program for the next school year, OR
  • Be a new WPCP applicant applying for PK4Kindergarten, or 1st gradeOR

  • Is applying to the WPCP and was on any prior year WPCP waiting list due to a district enrollment cap.

Students who participated in the Choice program in the prior year are not required to provide income documentation. New Choice students must provide income documentation showing the family income.

We can help parents/guardians with the application process, but cannot do it for them. In addition, choice parents/guardians should contact our school call or email Danielle Strom at (262) 728-6589 or dstrom@orlcs.org with questions, not DPI.

Our Redeemer prays this program will be an asset to our families as we seek to provide an excellent Christian education to the students of our congregation and surrounding community.
