Classes, Subjects, and School Activities

Our Redeemer students receive instruction in the following subjects (as appropriate for the students' age and grade):

  • Religion
  • Math
  • English Language Arts
  • History
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Physical Education (Roller-skating, gymnastics, etc.) 
  • Music (General Music, or one of our singing and/or bell choirs)
  • Art
  • Spanish
  • Band (students in 5th - 8th grade may choose to participate; they receive weekly lessons on their instrument as well as a weekly session with the full band
  • Health
  • Digital Citizenship


In addition, older students may select various elective classes and subjects, mostly taught by volunteer parents or congregation members - these currently include the following:

  • Lego Robotics
  • Broadcasting
  • Scuba Diving
  • Aviation
  • Sewing

The list of available electives can change each year depending on availability of volunteer teachers.


Our Redeemer students also participate in one large, full-school activity per year that involves all of the students and teachers - these activities are done on a rotating schedule over six years:


Christian Musical (every other year)

Science Fair, aka the Exploration Celebration

Mission Fair

Fine Arts Fair


The schedule for these events for the next full rotation is:

2027-2028:    Mission Fair

Academics
