Academics

Guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with School provides Christ-centered formation in God’s Word integrated with excellence in education. The central purpose of our school is to nurture each child’s faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and to equip them to live and witness their faith.


Using their God-given abilities our faculty, staff, and volunteers work to form active learners using effective, current learning and teaching materials. Students are prepared to become responsible stewards of their talents as they serve as thoughtful Christian community members. 


Accredited by National Lutheran School Accreditation (NSLA),  Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with School offers a well-rounded educational experience that meets the needs of our students and prepares them for success at the next level and beyond.  


Our Redeemer offers instruction in the following subjects as determined by grade:

  • Theology and Faith Formation
  • Math
  • Algebra I
  • English Language Arts
  • History
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Spanish (Kdg.-8th)
  • Physical Education
  • Health
  • Digital Citizenship
  • Music (General Music, or one of our singing and/or bell choirs)
  • Art
  • Band (Students in 5th - 8th grade may choose to participate; they receive weekly lessons and a weekly session with the "big band" consisting of all three local parochial schools (Our Redeemer, St. Andrew, and Delavan Christian School))

Additional learning opportunities are offered through large, full-school activities:

  • Science Fair
  • Mission and Mercy Fair
  • Fine Arts Fair

Academic Support Program (ASP)

The Academic Support Program (ASP) is an instructional program designed to support our students. Our specialist provides individualized instruction to improve or accelerate skills. 

Areas covered are:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Mathematics
  • Behavior

Specifically, our specialist will provide a structured system for additional instruction and evidence-based interventions ensuring that students meet their grade level expectations or receive differentiated instruction for accelerated learning.
