Our Redeemer tracks student progress in Kindergarten - 8th grade through the use of the MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) tests created and provided by NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association).
MAP tests are administered to Our Redeemer students in the Fall, Winter, and Spring - the tests are administered online using student Chromebooks under the guidance of a teacher. Depending on grade, students may take MAP tests in Reading, Math, Language Arts, and Science.
The Fall MAP scores are used as a baseline, and students set goals for the Winter and then the Spring tests based on their previous scores, and with the help of their teachers. Scores are compared from each testing period to determine where the students have shown growth and improvement, and where they need additional instruction to meet their goals.
